I think its because most games like this are usually, according to corporation, to more into boys. hopefully We now have games which are more unbiased now.

For me the biggest issue isn't even the female armor, or lack there of. It's how female characters are always glamorous looking. I.e, Diablo 3, they did armor really well where you have complete control over your armor's look (sexy and/or functional) and color. But I couldn't help noticing that all the female characters are glamorized whereas only half of the males (demon hunter, wizard, crusader) are. Case in point the witch doctors. The male version looks elderly and kind of sickly and while there's nothing wrong with either, the female, while still looking badass she is still young and pretty-looking

I lol'd.  This is why I like Dark Souls a lot, you can wear the armor the same as both classes.  Lots of badass choices for your warrior girls and if you want a cute masculine guy in some desert sorcerer gear, you can go for it!

I randomly found that nice picture & couldn't help myself but laught like a maniac in agreenment of how autentic it is, well exept for Lord of the Rings Online, the one game where females looks like actual warriors without lost their femenity nor look like exotic dancers.

The ONLY game you don't see this is on Lord of the Rings Online. Your females can have armor and most of the armor doesn't have faulty boob-plates. Prudish armor without being plain, too aura/shiny, or too male-only. What more could you ask for?

Skyrim and Fallout 3/New Vegas got it right - if the female armor is skimpy then the male alternative will be skimpy to.

That's one thing thing I seriously love about Skyrim (which is one of my favorite game, by the way). The only problem is that a lot of the modding/fanart community of the game are still misogynistic, thinks that all RPG's should look the same and sexualizes women way more.

Although in my opinion the developers went a little too far in Oblivion and Skyrim in not making everyone 'beefcake/cheesecake' especially the elves. They need to make them just a bit more 'handsome/beautiful' and they can have the attractiveness without the blatant sexuality.

Ah, yes.

The "girl-character-is-always-skimpy-looking" cliche in Video Games.

I love and hate the cliche, lol.

That's why Pokemon is the RPG I love the most, because they don't have girl characters that should be in a strip club(Why would they? IT's a kids game!). Some game developers just throw in a girl character for sex appeal.

Lots of other RPGs have girl characters that look awesome and not skimpy, though.

Might I suggest Dynasty Warriors to anyone suffering from this:above:cliche in games now some of their women don't wear armor but then some men don't either or just go directly to the Empires expansion thereof and create your own original warrior-women or based on existing examples you'd like to rectify/retcon yourself...that's what I do anyways!

Yet both of them have the same damage intake.
This means that the men need more armor because they are weaker than the women.

Wrong, it's called double standard! Men are put in full armor to show how powerful and manly they are, women are put in less armor just to titillate the audiance!

Just like How on TV men are almost always portrayed and violent or dumb but meaning well while women are portrayed as independent, strong and smart and maybe sometimes whiny but men face their fair share of double standards as well...

Either that or they don't have a female avatar at all. I'm okay with playing a boy character but it saddens me that they can't make a female version.

That's a good idea.

I'd love to see M and L as girls.

The games would appeal to more girls then, because in only particular games of Mario you can play as a girl character, like Peach.

If someone's a girl, and they love Mario, and they want to play as two girls in a main series game?

Not to worry, because Super Mario 3D World is there!(They can play as Peach and an unlockable playable Rosalina in that game).

Although, I think that most boys make fun of other boys sometimes because they like playing as girl characters in Vidga gamez XD

I love playing as Peach in 3D World, and she's even my favorite character in the series!

Etria Odyssey gives the females of the heavy armor classes some of the most realistic outfits among fantasy! Raqauna Sheldon from Untold! She's a Protecter and her outfit actually is appropriate for battle!

The Dungeon siege series has good paractical outfits for its heroines.  I'm sure other series do too.

I would like to see a Middle Ages-based fantasy RPG where a female starts off with bikini armor with god-awful stats, but as she levels up, the armor available for staying alive gets more and more realistic! The female player would have the options to either put on an outfit that is appropriate for battle or die in battle!
